I have a EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB. The factory clock is already a tiny bit overclocked and is 850Mhz Core Clock and 1700Mhz Shader Clock. I used MSI Afterburner to overclock my Core Clock to 903Mhz and the Shader to 1806Mhz. I have the latest nVidia drivers.
Before, I would play Crysis 1 @ 1920x1200. Almost everything was ultra except for around 5 settings and I had AA off. I would get around 30fps with a bit of tearing and stuttering(unplayable on all ultra high and 4x AA). My temperatures maxed at 81C.
Now, after the overclock, I can play Crysis 1 @ ALL ultra and 8x AA. I get silky smooth gameplay, no stuttering or tearing. I'm getting 25fps, but there is no tearing so it feels so much nicer to play. It also runs at a max of 75C and 69C on average.
What the hell happened?
