So I've decided to build my first computer as I had enough of my current one - 256 mb of ram, geforce 7300 GT and 2.4 Ghz (yea its that bad).
What I will be doing with my new computer is gaming, mostly diablo 3, and watching movies and videos in 1080p HD. I want the computer to last for 5 to 10 years with the possibility of upgrading the computer throughout its lifespan. I live in Toronto and looking to spend about 1 - 1.5K on the computer parts + monitor. What I need from you, is to review my current build and provide feedback. This is what I plan on getting:
Case: $79.99 + $24.99 (shipping)

CPU: $219.99

GPU: $194.99 + $12.24 (shipping)

Ram: $67.99 + $9.99 (shipping)

Motherboard: $189.99 + $12.24 (shipping)

Disc Drive: $69.99 + $10.74 (shipping)

Power Supply: $89.99 + $3.99 (shipping)

Hard Drive: $39.99 + $10.74 (shipping)

Operating System: $109.99 + $6.99 (shipping)

Monitor:
I haven't picked this yet but I estimate it will be around $199.99.
Sub Total = $1354.82
Total with 13% tax = $1530.95
These shipping prices are ridiculous so I would probably pick up everything in store except the case.
I have the keyboard and mouse already so I do not require those. I am trying to build a blue on black theme computer with SLI technology available if I choose to use that in the future. My question is, could I get a "better" computer for the same price?
