looking for memory

Hey guys, i'm looking to upgrade my old PC's ram from 1GB (2 x 512MB) to 2GB (2 x 1GB). The computer that i have is Emachines T3025. I do see them in Ebay for a fair price i think but i have few questions below:

1. What is the difference between low density modules and high density modules?
2. What is the difference between 184 pin and 200 pin?

Also if you have any suggestions in a particular ram, please post them.

16 pins !
The pins are how it connects to the mb. The mb and modules have to have the same number of pins(among other things).

The difference between those sticks (and pins) is DDR1 vs DDR2 (and DDR3 has the same pins but a different notch, incompatible)

You need the correct type of memory for your board. Being an OEM machine it might have a limit on memory, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB etc.

DDR2/DDR3 for a desktop have 240 pins and a diff notch.

Yup the max it can support is 2GB. So i decided to max it out.

Yup i'm still looking. Thanks for the link but i really would prefer if its in ebay. It's not really worth it paying $56 for RAM that will be installed in an old PC. In ebay i see them for around $20. I did miss a couple of days ago a a great deal for Brand new Corsair (2 x 1GB) for $15. I'll try to see if they have the same sticks that you suggested in Ebay.

I'm looking for two sticks (2 x 1GB). Also on Ebay i see 2 x 1GB sticks go for about $20. They are also brand new. Thanks anyways.
