crossfire on one monitor

I'm under the impression cfx is used for multiple monitor displays, would it make a difference on one monitor if I get another 6950? Also would a 750 psu be sufficient?

Crossfire isn't just for multi monitors. Cross firing or running SLI on 2 cards gives you a boost in performance.

I'm not sure if you want more than 1 monitor on 1 video card or if you want multi monitors on 1 card or if you want 1 monitor on 2 cards.

Any scenario you want though of what I mentioned is easy possible and possible with a good quality PSU.

I'm thinking of getting another 6950 and wondering if I'm go to see a performance increase on one monitor. Also would a 750 antec earthwatts psu be enough?

Oh you'll definitely see a performance increase. Do not get an earthwatt. They aren't bad Powersupplies, but they definitely can't handle 2 HD6950's. What is your budget?

Yeah, and I have one powering mine as well. But they aren't made to run to video cards. They are not bad cards but they are called earthwatts for a reason.

you are going off the name?

Though clearly a budget unit, it has amazing build quality, can output the power it states it can and can do it all with decent efficiency. There is a fair bit of noise and ripple, but the system won't be pulling 750W so it won't be too high

I'm not going off the name, I'm going off the fact that I own one. Since I've built PCs, Antec is the only PSU's I use.

Just because you own one doesn't mean it is a bad unit or unable to power what he needs it to. It is budget minded, anyone paying that much for a PSU and expecting otherwise isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, however it is still more than capable of powering a system that will probably only be drawing 500-550W max

Bah. I never said it was a bad unit. I even stated specifically that it wasn't. I'm not even disagreeing that it would work. I'll admit i looked at the stats wrong. I thought it only had 2 12v rails at 25a. That's my bad.

Its not a bad unit. Pretty sure its still made by Delta. I would call it a upper mid range power supply. Alittle over rated, probably has around 670/675W on the 12V rail.
