Port Forwarding Help?

I'm trying to port forward my Belkin N300 Wireless N Router, for a minecraft server, and whenever i try to portforward it tells me "No.2 The IP you entered is invalid." although i put in the exact ips and everything help? :(

I don't want to sound like a dick, but well, you got a Belkin. That is your problem.

I had a Belkin N150 temporarily: my story below.
On the default firmware it wouldn't port forward. It said it forwarded, but it didn't. On an updated version of firmware, it port forwarded, but then it would reset itself every 24 hours back to stock settings, losing the port forward. At this point I called up Belkin and complained. They sent me a N300 something "Beta". I could port forward, and it kept the settings, but the wireless signal was absolute bad and I couldn't bridge between my other routers (something I could do on my old Belkin V1000(?)).

I said screw it, bit the bullet and got a 70$ Asus router. The default Firmware did everything I wanted. But then I loaded on DDWRT and now I've got a neat NAS setup going :D!

TL;DR. You're boned, get a different router from a good brand.
