do any games currently run in a 2560x1600 resolution, i have seen some of the newer monitors going up to that resolution, and could 2560x1600 be like the next 1080?
 
Yes there are many games which support that resolution.
I have seen even greater resolutions in ARMA II.

2560x1600 would most likely be the next 1080p. But it will take a really really long time for that to happen.

so would now be the time to get a few 2560x1600 monitors then if some games are already supporting it and most likely it will only become more and more games that support it

If you have the cash then sure.But you would also have to get a really nice GPU. Like the HD6970 2Gb or the GTX 570 2.5GB.

im planning on building a PC the begining of next year so i can choose between all the new CPUs and GPUs, i plan on getting probably like 2 of the very best GPUs that are realeased next year, the 600's or the 7000's are what i have been told to wait for so thats what im gonna do
 
Spending that much on a computer is overkill.
Since if you compare a $2000 PC with a $6000 the total life of the computer won't be proportional to the money you spent on them.

yes its overkill but thats including like absolutly everything, 3 monitors, like a 200 dolalr keyboard and 130 dollor mouse lol, maybe some wall mounts or something for my monitors and a new desk and chair, its like my whole set up
