Front Panel Fan Intake Filters

What do you guys use to remove the dust build up in the front fan filters. The reason i ask is i cleaned the front of my case last week and not 6 days later the filters are clogged up with dust again. I wouldn't say my room is heaps dusty/dirty but with the dust that has built up already the blue LED lights are heaps dull. Also my case weighs a ton and is extremely difficult to clean i don't like moving it around too much in fear of breaking something. So what do you guys use?

Tissues, mostly. I've taken everything out of the case, fans and all, and vacuumed it, cleaned the fans by hand along with the hardware and put everything back together. Cleaning any filters is a good idea as well. If you don't have filters, any kind of foam or panty hose will do. A paintbrush can also be your best friend. I used a paintbrush the clear out dust and then vacuumed it up afterwards.

also like a soft toothbrush. Comes in handy. Im guessing if your accumulating that much dirt in that short period of time your storing it on the floor. Get it higher if ya can and stay away from the floor or wall vents.

After having to clean my front fan filters every 4 to 5 days, I ended up taking them out. Since the Twelve Hundred has so much air pressure from all the fans, I noticed that I have not had any dust buildup in the case.. I mean there is barely anything coming out if I blow compressed air inside after a month's use.

I did use something like a paintbrush the first time can't remember what but it seemed to work better than what i'm using now. (washing the filters with water and drying them with a towel)

Yes it is near the floor though it is regularly vacuumed i don't understand so much dust in so little time though.

Interesting so you have a twelve hundred and just took the fan filters out. hmm...I might have to go that way if i don't get this sorted.

More intake fans than exhaust helps with dust as well. Positive pressure pushes air out any nooks and crannies in the case. Negative pressure (more exhaust) means air/dust is sucked in.

I got three case intake fans at the front of the case and 2 out-take fans at the back of the case. Just had an idea though why not turn the front case fans around for a while and push the dust out of the fan filters. In any case i will take it apart tomorrow and see what i can do.

i have the same problem with mine...i dont typically move mine at all, i just tend to take the side panel off, which works fine with me only having one side of the thumbscrews in for the drive cages, slide them out, and then vaccuum them off with a can vac, put them back in...and im good for another week...

It is hard to get to though on the Antec 1200 than other cases. I'm going to see if i can find a way to make it easier and keep the dust bunnies away a bit longer.
