Most powerful laptop for XP

Can someone tell me what would be the most powerful laptop to run XP for games? I am experimenting with installing XP on my HP dv7 but it is proving to be more difficult than anticipated so now I'm considering buying an older laptop that would run XP or even a new one if any are made that would run XP which I doubt. Either way I'm looking for the most powerful system for XP. Can anyone recomend something?
 
it all depends on graphics and SATA capability. As long as its GT335m or older (nvidia) then your set (assuming that it has a SATA driver, or IDE mode). AMD says to go to your hardware manufacturer for driver support in notebooks, so it will depend on them.

What I was thinking was to buy a used laptop or pc that was built for XP but very powerful gaming machine.
 
you are going to have trouble doing that unless your using really old games. the 8800m GTX was the last powerful gaming card used under XP, the 9800m GTX was used under most companies with Vista.
