prints to dark.

hi, i,m having problems with photo,s being printed to dark. the picture on screen is perfect, i have a epson r220 with epson ink and using epson paper. which is 6 years old. i also use a lexmark x5470 printer , which is 4 years old.i am using roxio media 10 software. and windows . i,m running windows vista. how can i print same as on screen.many thank,s for any help.

I don't know much about printers, but I'd check these vital things:

1.) Printing preferances, My mums Epson has all types of colour settings, maybe yours are misconfigured?
2.) Have you tried a different cartridge/cleaning the receptors on the side of the cartridge..? I don't know how/whether you could even do this but someone on here could explain it to you...
3.) Head Clean/Head Aglianment/etc...

Maybe a photo of the computer copy and then the printed copy?

dont get an epson if u can help it... they come up with a message after a few years -- your printer is nearing the end of its service life... you have to have it serviced or get a new one -.-
