Hello,

I would like some advices on the configuration I choosed for my next computer.
It will be used mainly for:
-multitasking ( I abuse of it a lot )
-chemical modelisation (GAMESS for those who knows it.)
-multimedia station.
I really want (need) something fast and also future proof.
My budget is limited (about 600$). I am currently a little over the budget and I am trying to see where I can cut without affecting too much performance. Also, I am living in qc, canada.

I would really love to add a SDD there, such as a Crucial C300 or C400 64gb (100$) but my budget is a too tight now. Maybe I will think about it as a future upgrade.

Ive read that Antec cases all have washable air filter, but I am a little skeptical of the real-life effect, is it really effective?

Thank you very much for any help

Try,
955 cpu
2x2gb
smaller ps if its cheaper enough
bigger gpu
different case
where's Windows?

Where are you shopping?

I was thinking to substitute the case and the power supply by this but I am a little concern about the PSU.

np

Buy the time you count the promo's and gift card that can be used a few days after the cpu purchase, this should leave room for shipping and a case. It's NE.CA so maybe Directcanada is better.
