Dead Island Question

Dead Island is releasing today world wide, I think it has already been released in the U.S. Can anyone give nice suggestions about the game. I like realistic games, real life like Battlefield, COD etc. but horror too. Is the game real scary?

umm the game is an rpg, it has been released in australia too, basically you wake up and everything is in ruins, you choose between 4 char all with different strengths, i chose fire arms but i havnt found any yet so if i did it again id choose blunt or sharp weapon person.. what you do is you run around doing the main quest things while to earn extra cash weapons and XP you do side quests

Is it scary? Like you have to go in a haunted house and don't know from where a zombie pops up and attacks you and the horror music and voices around?
Does it have a feeling that you are involved in the game?

umm sorta, you are generally out side, some points though your walking u can see people on the ground and you just know they are gonna get up and chase you, but other points (might just be me im unsure) you could hear the zombie running at you and stuff but look around and nothing, then BAM behind you it grabs you even though you were just looking there.. over all not the scariest def thriller though when all of a sudden there is a hoard of zombies coming after you and you know your dead

I installed it this morning and just gave it a go,So far its looking really good but it keeps crashing on me when on the beach for the first time so i cant play it until they release a fix which hopefully wont be too long.

Anyone else got crashing issues?

It keeps saying the display driver has stopper working so its either AMDs drivers or the game itself.

It works fine for me, no crash while on beach on Notebook PC.

ha, COD and battlefield realistic? my arse. It doesn't look particularly scary just another zombie game, theres probably jumpy moments but nothing that stops you sleeping at night like s.ta.l.k.e.r

Great game. Very involving, great atmosphere etc. Imagine you're a character in 28 days later but on a Pacific island - that's this.

Best single player game i've played in a while.

Ps: I do get random freezes - black screen for a second, then Ok again. Strange.
