What components in my computer should i upgrade?

Yeah, highest settings at 480 x 300 or 2500 x 1650? Thats my point. If hes using a 17" monitor, there is absolutely no point getting a whole new system. Additionally, most monitors a maxed at 60FPS, so even the above suggestions I made are probably overkill. Either way, he could play his games on high settings at lower resolutions.

I don't see why he needs a new computer. A new PSU and GPU is all that I see being required unless he wants to play at huge resolutions. That is the question that I haven't noticed being asked yet. If he is playing anything at or under 1920 x 1080, then a nice GPU and quality PSU is all that will be needed.

Assuming you have a standard ATX case then all you need is something like this:

Power Supply Unit

Graphic Card

260 quid, and will play any game at medium resolutions as discussed.

This ^^^ And you can move these to a next system if you decide to upgrade later.

But I would go with this power supply, its only 3 bucks more and will give you extra overhead.

Yep. Just ensure your case will fit the 6950 and PSU. Most standard ATX cases will. Take a photo and upload it here if you are unsure, plus measure the internals of your case and we can try and ensure it will be fine. 99% of the time it is.

ok i will take a photo tommorow and upload it.

Also do i need more RAM or is 2gb fine?

Nothing wrong with having 4gb. But 2gb. will be fine for now. If you upgrade the board later it will be DDR3. So the memory could not be moved up.
