trifire 6950 cooling dilemma

OooSup peeps, I got 3 6950 2gb in trifire. The top gpu or the one closest to cpu is approaching 95c temp, which is almost max. I have them on crosshair v formula thunderbolt in a haf x full case. I ordered 3 200mm high flow 110 cfm fans and overnighted them as this is pretty much an emergency. Two of these will be mounted on top as exhaust to quickly get the heat out, and one on the side directly on gpus. I also have the large fan coming in from the front. The back fan is reserved for cpu cooling block. Is this enough?

Well.. you may want two of the 100 cfm fans as an intake. You want more of a positive air flow inside the case, rather than, negative with that kind of setup. Positive air flow is more intake than exhaust.

However, you could get some universal GPU blocks to use for water-cooling. And, I know they are also making closed system GPU water coolers (like the H50, Antec 620, etc.)

The recommended amount of fans is at least one more fan pulling air in then pushing out. Try it out and see what happens, but you may have to go down to 2 cards. Unless your top card is faulty.

Im a rookie with this solution. I will get three blocks, one for each card, then what else do i need? Would you mind listing the parts and where I can get them? Thanks! :D

Replace the thermal paste on each of the GPUs with Arctic Silver 5.

Ensure one of your large fans is pushing air directly on the GPUS and the others pulling hot air out.

But IMO, its complete overkill, particularly for that CPU, which, in gaming only uses 2 cores and will be completely bottled.

You like overkill dont you ;)

No need for that, just get a standard quality 120mm fan.

Instead, get rid of one of those graphics cards (its completely unecessary to have 3) and get sell it and your 1100T on ebay and get a Bulldozer chip. That would be what I would do. Solves both issues, slow CPU and hot GPU.

how much do you want for one of those 6950s? :P
sorry for thread-jacking haha

Id sell the sapphire radeon 6950 2gb for maybe 200 bucks. Its brand new, its been opened but never used. It's just sitting there collecting dust until i decide if just wanna add it with 8 core cpu and new mb
