My computer running right?

Hey, I was just wondering how I can tell if my computer is running at its peak performance. I haven't yet over clocked it but I don't seem to be getting everything I can out of it. So if theres a program or something I can get to tell how well its doing that would be cool. Here are my specs:

CPU:
AMD Phenom II x4 955 deneb Black OEM heatsink

GPU:
XFX Ati Radeon HD 5770

MOBO:
Asus M4A87TD-EVO

HDD:
500gb Western Digital

RAM:
4.00 GB Dual-Channel 1600 DDR3 G.Skill

check out passmark and compare the scores to similar parts, but all you said is wd 500gb, if that's a 5400rpm one that's almost positively your problem, so slow, otherwise get defragler and run it (should do that anyways).
 
Alright got any suggestions for benchmark programs? I usually run defrag usually once every 2 weeks or so. And I think my HDD is 7200rpm not sure about that.
