Quick noob questions about Monitors and graphics cards

actually, I've heard that a DVI connection is best for gaming, and the monitor size just
determines its max resolution. if you want 1080p, you're going to have to buy a 22' monitor.Hope that helps :)

That helps a lot thank you, i plan on upgrading my monitor soon but what resolution do you think i could get out of a 20"?

you'd get around 1600x1200 resolution.

oh and are you building a rig, if you are, is it going to be a gaming rig?

Isnt DVI and HDMI the same thing except HDMI carries sound rather than just the image?

I could be wrong but its worth having a look into as then ya know all you need is a monitor with dvi

(providing you have speakers etc.

I think You're right mike, but to get full 1080p you don't need an hdmi connection.

and Invertas, would you consider buying the parts yourself for a little more customization in your build? the kit looks nice I'm just asking If you would want to do
that, and if you want to overclock your CPU with that kit You'd need an aftermarket cpu cooler

I think a little bit down the road ill definitely upgrade, but that kit seems to do everything i want for now pretty cheap, of course gotta add another 100$ for win7 so im trying to stay low.

I forgot about win 7 for a second, my bad

and that's a really good kit for the price, good luck and I hope you have fun with you're build
