Saitek/Mad Catz RAT 7 is BAD

I bought this mouse and there are so many problems with it.
  1. Price is much more than other mice
  2. They claim "customizability", but most movable parts are completely useless ... where's a length-customization?
  3. The sensor is honest-to-God garbage. If a piece of dust gets in there, you're limited to movement only on the y-axis. You have to resort to banging the crap out of it.
  4. Scroll wheel is awkwardly placed
  5. 'Sniping' button is in a bad place because you're pushing on the mouse towards the right which could cause a missed shot (it does)
  6. Mouse is oversensitive. I'm not exagerrating when I say: anytime my subwoofer does anything in a movie, the mouse moves enough to bring the media buttons back into view.
  7. Sensitivity change button is hard to press. Sure it's 'on-the-fly' but if I have to use both hands to press it, it's not convenient.
  8. Customer service won't reply for weeks
  9. Their design is supposed to help palm grippers (people who use their whole hand to cover the mouse), but holding on to it is like palming a basketball.
  10. I have to resort to claw-gripping my G500.
  11. NOTE: I don't have small hands, and I customized the thing to many configurations before making a final judgement.

The sensor issues on the RAT series are pretty well known, the first generation sensors in the devices were utter garbage, later revisions were less prone to being troublesome but still have issues. The entire idea of the RAT series is nice, but the implementation and quality seemed to be somewhat in line with a number of other recent products from Saitek...

I think you need a Logitech G500 :) PS Bomber: Your G5 served me very well until I got the G500 :D
