I want a desktop for gaming, I want it to be able to play new games. I'm not looking to spend any more than like 900.. So i'm guessing I'd have to build one. Anyone have any good builds for about that they can help me with? Like I know nothing, so i'd have a store put it together. Right now I have a sony vaio laptop, it can pretty much do anything I need it for.. So I'm not looking for a super amazing computer.

check the building tutorial thread, it's very easy to do and getting a shop to do it will cost a good bit, they are generally rip-offs

and i will start looking up a build, you are in the us aren't you?

Yeahh, im in the Us. And Iono, i think I have a friend who's dad may be able to do it. Oh, and I think the like light up processor cases look soo sweet. If you could find one with that it'd be cool :o

ok, here's a pretty beasty build, it can max out everything out to day and for a while, i also put in a pretty good cooler so you can overclock it up to about 4.5 or so ghz. also i'd rec to buy like all but the dvd drive so then you can use the 10 buck promo code on it, and you can just pull the dvd drive out of another comp for a few mins to install windows with. and also you need to use these 2 promos, but to get them you'll have to order over the next few days: EMCKAGK22 EMCKAGK53

If he waits until October 17th he can get a Socket AM3+ processor. I would wait a few weeks until the new line of AMD processors come out. I think they are going to be a lot more powerful than the Deneb core processor you are looking at. The AMD FX-4100 Quad-Core Processor also runs at 30 Watts less in power and for only about $39 more than a Phenom II 970 Processor.

i'd be looking for the 4100's price to be close to 150-60 since the 8150p is like 250 and the 8100 is like 230 or so, so the 6100 would be like 190 and the 4100 around the 150 mark.

8150 is suppost to be around $266. The 8120 around $221. The 8100 around $200. The 6100 around $188. So my guess for the 4100 will be around $165. From what I understand, there is going to be a 4120 for around $175.

After the first of the year there is suppost to be a couple more 8 cores. One will be a 8170, dont know what the other will be. Plus another 6 core.

In all honestly, i cant ever stick with pc gaming. I second guess myself about if i should actually buy one 24/7.. If i could find a good game I would but.. iono. I like mmos tbh.
