Hello,
I am using godaddy as my domains and hsoting is there. I also use godaddy email for my email account belongs to my site. However i am not happy with it. I used microsoft outlook at work and was very satisfied. Now when I buy outlook, and install it how does it work, does it give me aditional inbox space? for example my godaddy email is deleting sent emails after a certain date. i dont want that. i want all the sent emails to stay. when i install and use outlook will this problem be resolved?

have not seen outlook Express in years. I would suggest looking at options very closely and would likely find your problem there. No, i don't have it now.

You can get MS Outlook to delete all received messages from the server after it's downloaded them. This does have downsides, however. Since the mail only exists on the machine that has outlook on it, if you need to access your mail from elsewhere you'll have to set something else up, and if you lose them on that one machine and haven't stored them elsewhere, then you have no way of reliably getting them back.

^ That.

Plus for the OP... It works the way hack described because you're currently using a mail server that plays by the rules of the company hosting it. Granted you can change some options, but for the most part they control all the major stuff.

Outlook (is Express even still around?) is a mail client that is basically a program you install and tell it how to manage your email. You can set it up to download mail from multiple accounts into a centralized location (the program itself). Because it's a program, you can customize it with tons of personal settings; delete certain things upon arrival, sort email from certain groups/people into specific folders, archive old messages, etc.

If you want control over your emails and have a desire to keep most or all past a 90-day period, go with Outlook. Just keep backups current on a separate Drive.
