Which is more reliable brand for laptops: HP or Dell

I am planning to purchase a laptop. After comprehensive research interms of specs I've filtered down my options to Dell XPS 15 and HP dv6tqe series. Both have similar hardware specs.
I am not able to decide on the brand, which one to buy. I would be glad if you could provide me some information/guidance in this regard for e.g. reliability in terms of any hardware problems, battery issues etc.

Neither are great choices, but given a limit of them two, the Dell. Reasons, see pic.

Dell. HP's quality has definately gotten bad in the last few years. I'm not saying Dell don't have their issues but has less then HP at this point in time. I have clients that usually buy HP's on black friday and they want me to set them up. I had 3 last year(2 different models) and wouldn't buy either one, I just didn't like the quality.

Id get a second opinion, cause its showing in your quote. I can see it after I logged out (of the computer) and logged back in.
I aint trying to call you a lier, just trying to figure out why I can see it and you cant.

It seems that, the choices I've made are not that much recognized in laptop world. :)
Could you please direct me which ones should I look for?

My basic requirements are:

1. atleast i5
2. 1 GB Graphics card
3. 6 GB RAM
4. 500 GB HDD
5. Good sound
6. HD+ or FHD display
7. cost < $850
