Hi, entirely new to this forum, and am certainly a beginner when it comes to computers. my issue is that although i have 2 hard-drives on my desktop the one that is currently reaching its max capacity is 250gb, i have a secondary drive of the same size, how do i switch to storing my memory in there now as the other is full.

one is named ACER (C:) the other DATA (D:);
whether or not that makes a difference i dont know but i do know that my desktop has a shed load memory than 250gb

any help would be much appreciated as there is only 8gb left in the current drive.

Any personal files like picture, music, office documents can be moved to the other drive/partition. Most of the time, this is all thats needed. Do you have music stored on your system?

It's most likely a single drive, so he could always delete and expand partitions.

JohnB35, yeah ive got about 35gb of music stored on my comp, is it as simple as dragging and dropping these files? youll to excuse the stupid questions, im a bit lost mate.

Many thanks!

Drag and drop or cut and paste, its that simple. If your music is in one folder, then just move the whole folder. Windows will then start transferring to the other drive.
