Why HP laptops are cheaper than Dell counterparts?

I am definitely not a fan of HP as well. I have never owned one, but my buddy has a laptop through them. He's sent it in 4+ times for HDD stuff. My girlfriend and her family pretty much own HP stuff, and I keep getting that call about how something is wrong.

Dell on the other hand, I have had no problem with. Haven't heard any problems with it either. Been buying through them for laptops(and my first desktop before building one) and all have worked great for a number of years.

I have as well noticed the price hike when building customized at HP and Dell. HP is always a couple hundred dollars cheaper for just about any build. Definitely a plus, but then I think of quality and close the site and try and make Dell cheaper and cheaper. :D

This is how I look at it, Hp from MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE is a good company minus the Tech support. This is how I look at it, any company you go with where you buy there cheaper lower end models you will get cheap quality but if you buy one of there higher end models they will last. I never thought I would own a Hp but I am looking at doing a build with them on a laptop cause they are the only company that can get me what I want for price.

I do not worry about all the bloatware on there such as Windows and what they install cause a Ubuntu install will make that computer fly.

For the size the hardware looks amazing and a great price, family has had some good luck with Hp so I might test my fate too :)

if you're planning on gaming with it, it would be a good idea to have a laptop cooler. They are CHRONIC for overheating.

Do not planning on heavy gaming, just really hate Intel HD gpu's. Not to mention the better video quality when I hook up to my HD TV and I always have my laptop hooked up to my cooling pad that uses dual fans running on USB.
