Hi,

Working on opening my ports for downloading torrent files and ultimately want to be able to utilize remote access from my android phone. It is not connecting and I am working on opening the correct ports for my torrent clients. I have read that I need to get a static IP, mine right now is dynamic. I use a computer for torrents that is connected through a network. Do I need to set up a static IP for each computer or just the one that connects through the router, or is it the router I am setting up the static IP for? Thanks!

Got my router ports open no problem. Got a remote client to manage my torrents via smart phone. Getting rss feeds on my phone for the torrents I'm interested in. Now I am wondering why would I need a static ip address?

Sorry discussions related to torrents are frowned upon here and discussions related to using torrents to get copyrighted material are banned here, I am sorry no body will be able to help you regarding this here

Sorry I didn't know torrents were to not be spoken of. I mostly keep up with naruto, bleach, and new show episodes I have missed. I got in trouble years ago which prompted me to stop messing with copyrights. I love this site and will respectfully avoid the topic in the future.
