I'm assuming I have gotten most of your attention by the title right? Well now here is the part that is going to drop your jaw. I just purchased an HIS AMD Radeon HD 6970 for $225 on Amazon.com. I don't know how it got to be this price but what I can tell you us it has the same model number as the HIS Radeon HD 6970 priced for $350 on newegg and $305 on tigerdirect. Oh and just for you sceptic people it's brand new never been opened, I did not buy a used one. Unfortunantly Amazon.com has sold out of all of the cards they have. When I found this great deal there was only 10 left and by the time I had purchased one for myself they had 1 left. I did say they had more on the way so I would be on the look out for them to get more seeing as a 6970 at that price is crazy!

Here are the links:

Dam, I wish I would of seen this a month ago. But I'm happy with my 480, but that's a dam good price, for a good card. I had that card when it first came out and the drivers were horrendous, I'm guessing they've gotten better by now.

thats great, but you got it from an individual seller who discounted the card. thats not like amazon is just selling them for that

Actually I did get it from Amazon :) and it said 10 left in stock -- (More on the way). The box has the amazon logo on it that it came shipped in and everything. Also if you look at the image you can see the SOLD BY: Amazon LLC.

Looks interesting to me. Price includes shipping?

Yes sir! I actually bought the card for $223.99 I believe. The shipping made it go up to like $235. I have this card on my desk right now waiting for the other parts to come in for my new PC build :)

It certainly is the black edition, and I do agree about the OCing of the 955. I have one in my last build and liked it so much I decided to go with it again after talking to the people here about the benefits a hex core would provide me. Which just in case your interested was really none other then I do program so down the road I might get some benefit out of a hex core but not for a long time.

Thank you :) you really should keep a eye out on that link though because if you do have the spare cash it did say on the page "10 left -- (more on the way)" so I'm assuming that Amazon.com has ordered more to sale.

Yeah I hear ya, I had the 955 be then sold it for my Hex Core but I didn't get the BE, but my Hex Core at stock speed is just as fast as the 955 oc'd to 3.8ghz. I'm thinking about either getting a better Quad Core, maybe one of the new FX chips. The 6970 oc's very nice also, but can be fairly loud.

Yeah it will OC nice if it is a c3 chip. If not, it will be a c2 and suck big time. Ask me how I know lol.

You would be lucky to get 3.6 stable out of a c2. I love what I run now.
