For as long as I have been using Windows operating systems, I have enjoyed the fact that a window keeps the changes you make after you close it so it reappears where you had it, in the same way you left it, settings included.
I like to keep it all organized a specific way to maximize the speed at which I can navigate through my various drives and files.
However, my system randomly forgets how I keep certain windows. I have (3) drives. My OS drive is small, only 30Gb, and (2) storage drives both at 250Gb. The two storage drives do not have this same issue, but my OS drive is the problem.
Most windows, after I set them the way I want, will stay that way for several days, even weeks, regardless of restarts or system scans, or defragmentations...whatever. Then randomly, I will open a window, and it's reverted back to base stock random location settings.
I have turned off the feature that saves their settings, and then turned it back on with no luck.
My system is rather large with a lot of saved information...is there maybe a setting that only allows a certain amount of custom folder data? Can I increase that amount so it saves settings on everything?
By the way my OS drive, C, which is the one with the problem, is only nearing 60% of it's capacity so I don't think it's too full and losing itself.
Any ideas?
