2GB vs 1GB MSI 560ti

debating on getting the 2gb over the overclocked 1gb version. however im not sure, the 1gb has nice overclocked factory settings and the 2gb is stock settings but has that extra gig of ram.

I plan on getting 2 for SLI and heard that the MSI 560ti with 2gb is better for SLI. I could always overclock the cards I guess.

any advice?

Get the 2gb. Games are starting to use over a gb of RAM. You can always OC it to the speeds of the other card and better.

more is better, especially if its only $5 difference
2GB sounds too beefy but im sure those graphic intensive games are soon to be coming!

If you want a good example of this try playing GTA IV maxed out, or Crysis 2 with High res texture pack and DX11 feature enabled.

Better to have more than not enough.

Go with the 2GB, for all the reasons that have been stated before. I just picked up my 2gb 560ti off amazon for $279.99, so dont avoid the 2gb because its not in stock at newegg.

Good choice! I checked BF3 VRAM usage and I was going over 1GB easily in the 64 man multiplayer matches on Ultra Settings.

Same here. I was getting 1600mb used in a lot of the multiplayer maps.
