I was looking for a 500 GB WD Caviar black and couple of weeks ago, I saw the price for $65 and I thought if i waited, it would go down even more but now, the prices have skyrocketed. Can anyone suggest a website to find this hard drive around $65?

The M4 would be good providing you get a good one, I've been looking at the reviews for it and some are getting bad drives. Are you looking at newegg.com?

yes I have been looking at newegg and I know this drive was on shell shocker before but I missed out. Now, I need to make sure I buy a good drive so which companies for ssd would be best (corsair, Samsung, crucial)? Also I read that neweggs rebates are being denied so should I count on getting the rebate money or not?

I have the crucial c300 sata 3 64 gb ssd and have no issues with it.

It's a little slower then the M4 but its still fast. I can be at my desktop in like under 20 seconds once I select windows 7 as my boot OS.

As far as the rebates go, a few people i guess don't get them but most do.

Regardless of which of buy, I will be using them under Sata 2 so the c300 you recommended sounds great. If you don't mind, would you share the price you bought it for and how long ago?

Future shop isn't bad right now, I found a 750gb SATA 3bg/s hard drive there for $60 canadian pricing.
