Should I bother with 12 gb of memory? I'll be gaming a bit, HD videos, some minor photo editing using elements....A few windows open at once (6 at most)

Any feedback greatly appreciated!

What are you paying for all of this?

£1100. I have been stuck with an old dimension 2400 for years, and I decided it was time for an upgrade. I believe there is some deal at the moment (15% off for orders over £499 I think). Does that seem a reasonable price?
Thanks

Probably upgrade to the 570 or 580 if you have the money. 8gb should be plenty.

I'm pretty stretched as it is; I should get decent fps on high res with the 560 right? On another note, and I am sorry to pick your brains like this, but how do you 'overclock' your processor/ graphics card? Do you need some extra cooling thingy or would it be perfectly possible without any extra hardware with the dell?

Thank you very much for your feedback

Because it's a Dell you won't be able to OC the processor as the BIOS will be locked. Though you could use MSI Afterburner to OC your GPU.

along with it being the 2600, meaning you are stuck with a less effective overclocking technique that creates more heat, but that's overpriced as hell compared to building it yourself, and i'm sure this is a better brand but i know this is a better deal

but you'd want to check ebay for the hdd, then buy from them or another site the monitor and other peripherals cuz it had all the cheaper ones grayed out and all the overpriced ones selectable, and buying the gpu separate might help too with their limited selection.
