Need input-Connect LCD to Computer

First of all my 46" RCA LCD is located 8ft from my computer. My wife wanted a small laptop that she uses upstairs so I bought a Belkin Connect N150 wireless router and she has had zero problems getting a high wireless signal. I also have a Wii console that is located 5ft from my computer and router.

Have been streaming Netflix through the Wii with zero problems until a couple of weeks ago. I'm tired of trying to figure out the problem. This is a common problem with the Wii and Netflix. I was wondering if it would be possible to connect my LCD to my computer and stream Netflix(also Hulu+Crackle,etc.)that way?

The jacks on the back of my LCD have HDMI 1/DVI and a VGA Video & Audio inputs. If this can be done how good will the picture and sound quality be? I'm just trying to figure out a way to stream Netflix and eliminate the wireless problems. Also checked on the Roku box but it is having it share of problems also. Thanks for your input. I do appreciate it.
 
I run a 25ft HDMI to my TV. The picture quality is great, it just doesn't play well with the sound and multi display, so I just have it duplicate my monitor and change the audio settings to use the monitor primarily.

EDIT: Default windows 7 audio doesn't want to output sound to 2 devices at the same time.

Assuming you have a half decent TV and and your basic cable The quality of the output will depend on the resolotuion you set your computer, judging by the sounds of it your tv will have a res of 1920*1080, once the res has been set the picture should be equally as crisp as it would be if you were watching something in HD.
For example if you played a blu ray on a stand alone player and then compared the picture to that same blue ray being played on a computer the picture should look the same. Same goes for netflix, in fact if you choose to watch something in HD it will look better than the Wii as the wii does not support HD resolutions.
I have used my 26 inch TV as a monitor for years and the image is extremely crisp and clear.
The lead you will need will again depend on the computer and whether it has HDMI, DVI or VGA output, I would recommend using DVI or HDMI over vga.
As for audio that is a different story. Audio can be transmitted via HDMI, it can also be done over DVI but it requires a converter (My gpu supports this but requires a converter/dongle), hence making it more complicated than just buying a HDMI lead, so HDMI would prob be the best for you.
What computer, specifically GPU do you have? This will help get the best answers as some AMD/ATI gpus have the audio on board and all you need to is plug and play, some gpus, like my GTX 260, require a connection between your normal sound output device, this is usually the motherboards on board sound, and the GPU, sounds complicated but it is easy.
