Hi everyone,
I want to upgrade my pc here are the specs:
Intel i5 661 stock cooler
2x2gb Kingston 1333mhc
Gigabyte h55m-s2h
Palit gtx 460 SE
PSU:Raptox 600W
I wonder what is the best part to upgrade the PC is mainly usied for gaming. My budget is about 250$.
P.S Sorry for my bad English.

i've never heard of that brand so that psu probably needs to go before it fails and takes something with it. otherwise palit isn't the best brand and the 460se isn't the best, could get a xfx 650w psu and a HD6870 for about $250 and then they'd rebate down less.

raptox arent are actually good:

you need to do some research before you say they are bad, from the ops thread I am assuming atm you have the one above which is meant to be pretty good as a matter of fact.

This comment from the review says it best:

as low as 105Euros from various online stores which is not a bad price at all, not since you will be getting one of the best 600W power supplies i have ever come across

How much have you got to spend, you have the dual core i5, so i would say go up to a quad but at the same time it would be stupid to get an older cpu architecture so you would need a new mobo.

really ther is no need for an upgrade as far as the cpu, although it isn't nearly as fast as the new ones, it is still a great cpu, and if a phenom 955 can be used to max even battlefield 3, then a 1156 socket i5 which is faster than the 955 can certainly be used for the next few years, again the only real upgrade would be to like a 560ti or hd 6950. also you can grab 8gb's of ram to replace the 4 for like 40 bucks or a little more, that's not really going to change much though.

Based on your budget, you may want to just wait until you can afford a new mobo and CPU. Otherwise no matter what single component you upgrade, you'll have some kind of bottleneck.

nope, ram and gpu are only surrent issues, and the cpu actually matches the 965be overall, might be a little better really, there is nothing wrong at all with lga1156 cpus they are still great, just not as great as they were a year or 2 ago
