hey guys... first off, i used to post here under "computerkid111" but ive been having some huge problems and cant get into my email (dont remember the password) in order to remember my password for here lol... anyways.. ive been away for 3 months (work) and before i left i my hard drive crashed on my hp desktop which i had to replace. i was having the blue invent screen problem. solved that, updated my computer and ever since i left, it boots up, goes to the blue invent screen, white text breifly scrolls down the screen and then eventually i get stuck on the next screen which is blank, and has a flashing cursor/underscore...

all the machine lets me do is go into the "enter set up" by pressing f10.

how the hell can i get windows to boot up so i can back up all my data onto and external and reformat?

this is critical for me...

thank you guys.

Use another computer to burn a 32-bit Ubuntu 10.04 installation disk. You can use the disk without installing it on your computer to get at the data on the hard drive if the drive is not gone. If your hard drive is defective you may not be able to get anything at all.

You can download the file here:

http://releases.ubuntu.com/lucid/

You said your old hard drive crashed and you replaced it... How did you get windows back up and running? Did you copy data from bad drive to new one and how?
