Asus- eepc - which one to purchase?

Hi Everyone,

To start off with, I am a noob when it comes to anything computers. Therefore, I'm seeking out some advice from everyone! :) I currently have the Thinkpad x100e but due to overheating issues (it shuts off every 2 hrs) I am on the hunt for a netbook.

I'm very interested in the Asus EEPC line but am at a loss as to which one to get. Here is a list of things I would use it for (I'm a student):

- Basic word/excel processing
- Internet Surfing (I love watching movies/tv online), email,etc.
- Aesthetics: really love the gun metal finish look
- speed is a must for me and battery life as I am constantly in class or making notes

If it was me, I'd try to solve the overheating problem, rather than buying another relatively underpowered netbook. Yeah, I know that doesn't answer your question. Sorry. :(
 
If you like to watch tv on line, try to get anyone with dual core processor, preferable one with dual video chip too, both on chip video and dedicated video rams.

No worries... Unfortunately, I've already attempted that route. I've had the fan changed a few times by Lenovo while still under the warranty. Its now just becoming a nuisance. Any other ideas to help solve the overheating problem??
