Should I update my BIOS

I was recently on Newegg and discovered that my motherboard doesn't support AM3+ unless I upgrade my BIOS.

Now I don't even know if I'm ever going to get a Bulldozer as the reviews on them seem less than favorable and my 955 seems quite sufficient, and I'll be able to OC it when it begins to show some age.

However I would like to be ready if I need to.

Should I update my BIOS? The MSI LiveUpdate says it can update it for me but some comments on the internet seem to say it just causes problems.

Update? Or just leave it?

Also, one other quick question. Should I need to update anything else on my BIOS like my Audio drivers or anything else?

does your motherboard have a black socket? if not, in all likelyhood its a later revision of your motherboard that supports the chip.

What I understood was that the board just needs to be updated to 1.2 BIOS version. Mine has 1.0. It's a AM3+ socket. I am not exactly sure what I should be checking for.
