Has anyone installed to new Commodore OSV 1.0? I've tried to install it to disk but I can only get it to run from DVD. The OS is free from CommodoreUSA. It looks real good to me. It uses Linux but the shell is great! Great graphics including 3D. Wish I could try it.

I forgot about it - thanks for reminding me. Meant to download it weeks ago but I was at school.

I'm downloading it now. I'll be installing it to a virtual machine though, I already have enough OS's on my computer as it is. If i get it up and running I'll post back.

I can get it to boot to the ISO, but I try to boot the OS and it just sits at the boot menu....

I'm new at this so...........a few had to re-burn their DVD @6x speed. Does Linux Mint boot? COS uses Linux Mint 10.0. In my case the install proceeded to the point (several minutes into the load) where I thought the OS would complete (the screen had a "stars" backround with the C logo in the lower left quadrant of the display and hung the PC. I tried a new image download from CUSA and re-burned a DVD with same results as before.

I'm running it in a virtual machine directly from the ISO.

hmmm... Do you have to download both disks, or will disk 1 be ok?

I want to try this, but I only have 4GB flashkeys to try from.

You're running in 64 bit host? What guest applications do you have in 32 bit? I'm using Windows 7 an Linux Mint 12. How would I load the VM? Remove w7 and linux then install the vm software and re-install w7 and linux?

I'm running VirtualBox inside Windows 7.

Just got it installed in a VM fine, no issues. If anyone is having issues, make sure to verify the md5 hash sum of your download.

Looks pretty cool i guess, and the sounds effects are a nice tough. A bit of a resource hog though. Downloading disc two right now, so I have some games to play on it. Drivers installed fine as well.

I can post screenshots if anyone wants them.

I figured out my issue. Commodore doesn't seem to like AMD because I was able to boot it in a virtual machine on my C2D laptop.
