Microsoft Office 15 Beta?

I've been hearing stuff about a beta of the next upcoming Microsoft Office possibly coming out next month, see http://news.softpedia.com/news/Microsoft-Office-15-Beta-Might-Emerge-in-January-236339.shtml

Honestly, they're releasing them too fast! I'm using 2007 myself at the moment but I was using 2010 before I reinstalled and I liked 2010 a lot, but who else thinks 2010 hasn't been given enough time yet? Microsoft already have Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview (to replace VS 2010) available for download on their website and of course the Windows 8 Dev is out as well. Office 2010 and VS 2010 aren't even 2 years old yet and MS are already wanting us to upgrade!

I'm sure Office 15 Beta will be good, I'm going to download it once it's available, I downloaded the Office 2010 Beta 2 years ago when it came out and tested it. Might get VS 11 Dev as well, but I'm temporarily on Vista at the moment (will be going back to 7 after Christmas) and apparently VS 11 Dev doesn't support Vista.

Too fast if this is real, it's been about every 3 years so far.

2000 > 2003
2003 > 2007
2007 > 2010

2010 > 2012 is too soon.

2010 is perfectly good at the moment and I don't see a reason for an update.

isn't it generally a new office for every new windows?
2000 for 2000
2003 for XP
2007 for Vista
2010 for 7
and 2012/2013 for 8?

I personally think that its not worth it. I still use 03 without issue. I like the old look of it. Just seems right.

But have used 07 and the web version of 10 (its limited on hotmail) and they confuse me some, and nothing seems to be where it should be.
Like the bibliography creater they included though. Wonder if I can find a 03 plugin for it.

I agree about Visual Studio 2011.Because Visual Studio 2010 is PERFECTLY good and there is really no need for an upgrade from 2010 to 2011.
Same applies for Office 2010 to 2011.

Hell I am still on Visual Studio 2002 and do not plan to upgrade since I can make all in 2002.Of course it is harder to make some things and takes more time, but as long as it's possible I am sticking to 2002 rather than paying 2000 dollars or more for the newest Visual Studio.

Cheers!

I use a 2007 ver. Problem with updating to soon is a compatibility issue with older versions. Just don't do it. Don't need to unless ya have the money and want to.
Then again sometime i have had to resave in a older ver for compatibility with older ver.

According the the Rep's at work for Microsoft who work for them internally they are not releasing anything until 2013 beta wise and it will be branded 2015 because the full release will be in 2014 to early 2015.
