Is it possible, yea. Is it safe, no.

The non K versions can only be overclocked via the FSB, and overclocking the FSB on the sandybridge processors is not stable. You will only be able to get a few hundred MHz at most.

To be clear, OP will need good CPU fan cooler because CPU overclocked will get pretty hot. It is not safe without proper cooling airflow.

Yes, you can. Be sure you have good CPU cooler. What kind CPU cooler do you have on CPU? If it were your stock CPU cooler, it will get up to 60 C and it is risk.

It's safe, just as long as you don't go crazy with high voltages and clock speeds.

I agree with you. One time i made error overclock, computer loop restart until i fixed. Goodness, my computer still work after i take apart part then re-install hardware. I don't want to hurt my nice computer.
