Laptop choice: lenovo g570 or acer aspire 5749

As the title suggests I think I have knocked down the choice for a new laptop down to these 2 models. Does anyone have any experience with either or can give another option. they are both similar price and spec, I don't need it to play games.

Those are both rather weak brands. Do you have any other options from brands such as Asus, Sony, Toshiba, or Dell?
 
My roommate has a Lenovo y570 and the thing is incredibly well-made. I would recommend it highly, especially over an Acer.

I was under the impression that Lenovo was a solid brand. They took over the IBM line a while ago, and still build the thinkpads like tanks.

Of the two, Lenovo all the way. NEVER buy a acer or HP.
