the stats of the two cards are a bit hard to compare on a apple to apple basis.
HD5670
1GB 128 bit DDR3
DX11
400 1 way cores (= to 80 5 way nvidia cores)
GT430
1GB 128 Bit DDR3
DX11
96 5 way cores (= to 480 1 way AMD cores).
short story, Nvidia will be faster and perform better.
why can't it. At the same bitrate on the same memory, it would be down to core and core speed. I don't have data on the stock core speed of both, but I would be willing to bet that at the exact same speed, the Nvidia would kick its arse. You cant compare clocks and Stream Processing Units/Cores that way anyway. The HD 5670 is the better card.
1. AMD is never "way better". The cards plain suck and carry substandard drivers. This of coarse doesn't count when comparing say a Geforce 2 against a 5970.http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gt-430-review/8
way better really, rivalled the gts450 in one or 2 i was looking at.

2. the GTS is 192 bit and 192 cores. I hardly think that in any game it wouldn't slaughter a 5600 and at least keep up with a HD5770.
You provided data, that's fine. But my question is/was why cant they be compared that way.Should I go on and on. Stop the Nvidia Fanboy B/S.
they say HD 5670. Personally, I would go Nvidia, but it would be a little less performance in some games and applications.

those are pretty darn close, only 4-5 fps difference while the 430 is way below.
