Graphics card upgrade help ?

I was looking to upgrade my gfx card recently as i have some spare cash lying around i thought at the moment i could probably use an update from a gtx 260 ! at the time when i bought this card it was around £120 and im looking at stores on the internet for much better cards for much lower prices (British Websites) obviously im not out to spend a huge amount of money somewhere around £60, now i have seen a few that have caught my eye but wouldn't really no how to look for a great card for a certain budget

so basically if you guys could maybe hint me some good cards that would fit my specs and my budget which is around £60 which i think is around $93 im not quite sure i would be really grateful ! also would you recommend ati or nvidia ? ive always stuck with nvidia only because i was familiar with there products but ive never been sure as to which were better value for money ?

Dont settle for anything less than a 6770, they run about 80 quid, that said, it wont be a massive improvement over your gtx 260. For that you want to be looking at spending at least £120+

As for the 6570, it is not an upgrade over your current gpu

WIth the 6770 alls your getting is dx 11, but its not powerful to push the latest games maxed anyway.

And looking at it, its not that much better than your current gpu, as in a few fps im some games.

I would hold out until you can afford a hd 6870, maybe 6850 minimum. Otherwise your just wasting your money.
 
He is wanting to spend £60, over here 560ti are upwards of £150. But i agree @OP that would be your best bet, as like i said the 6770 is only a few fps quicker than gtx 260. Although like i said you do get dx11.
 
after further browsing around ive sortof realised i cant go far with £60 so i was considering widening to around £100-120 ish any cards you could recommend ati or nvidia that would make a significant improve over my current gpu ?

just one last quick question xD
when i replace my motherboard will i have to re-overclcok my cpu again or will it remain the same ? multipliers and voltage wise ?
 
Now im not 100% about this, but im like 98% sure you would have to overclock again as the settings are motherboard based. I could be wrong, but my mobo has oc profiles in the bios so i presume oc'ing is motherboard centric.
