So i just added my computer science minor to my workload so now im looking into buy a laptop for general coding, java, and internet protocol uses it doesnt have to have anything super special to it but i would like it to have win7, good wireless, somewhat decent memory and the ability to do the things i need it to whether it be writing a paper to coding visual basic to just watching movies. any suggestions would be awesome but keep in mind i dont have a swiss bank account im a college student who works at a grocery store so it might take a little saving to get something super high-end but i would welcome any suggestions :)

I got a Dell Inspiron 1545 from PerfectHomes, it's Vista but it's really good, reliable, fast but if I remember rightly it's a Core2Duo, it can play basic games albeit it's far from decent, it has a good 232Gb of free HDD space, has built in webcam and mic so you can talk to your friends and skype whilst doing assignments and I do believe you can get it on W7 Genuine now

EDIT: Overall I would recommend it, it's a cheap (not budget) laptop - about £250 I've had mine for 2 years and it's still going strong, only repairs have been screen repairs from me dropping it lol, it's sleek and looks really good with a quiet keyboard.

Have a look at ASUS K53E-DH91 (15.6" (1366x768) LED|Intel Pentium B950 (2.1GHz)|4GB DDR3|640GB 5400 RPM|Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)) $460 OR ASUS A53E-XA2 (15.6" (1366 x 768)|Intel Core i5-2410QM processor (2.3 GHz)|4GB DDR3 SDRAM|640GB 5400 RPM|Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)) $590...and yes they both have wireless...i think for general coding ASUS K53E-DH91 would be sufficient...
