ok so yesterday my friend gave me some things for my build, he gave me 3 Coolermaster LED 120mm fans and a ~680W PSU.

this psu is a Nexus RX-7000 and it sort of works. i plugged it into all the slots on my motherboard, the lights all light up and i was getting exited, until the part where when i press Power, it doesnt do anything.

so does anyone know what the problem would be? any help is nice

thanks :)

Something might be shorting out or the cables are not plugged in all the way. It seems that you are getting power because you said that the lights turn on.

I'm assuming you are referring to your Salvage Build:

Make sure that all your standoffs are properly screwed in, you don't have any metal touching the motherboard, and that you cables are properly pushed into the motherboard.

yeah im referring to my salvage build, and atm im using a temporary psu of 250W that does the job for now.

but i might ask if my friend still has the warranty for it and ill just send it back and hopefully get a replacement.
