Ram suggestion?

You can see my build in my sig. I have been running that Corsair XMS3 ram for years as I have swapped out every other part of my PC. As of recently I have gotten a few memory errors. I am ready to buy new ram and have not been paying much attention to whats good now out in the market.

I want to run 16 GB just because it is cheap now and I sometimes do some pretty heavy video editing. I like to preview my edits and 8 GB is just barely enough. So stick with 16 GB if you can.

Browsing through Newegg I found this set and am curious what you guys think about it.

Thanks guys!

I figured I would upgrade a bit. My mind works in a "special" way lol. If I do not see bigger numbers I don't feel like it was an upgrade. More or less a "why not" kinda thing.

I might be a tad bit late on this one but here it goes. Due to the Fact your CPU is the i5 2500K I would say to go with DDR3 1866. If you did not have the K I would say 1066 was fine.
Another thing to consider is how you OC your system when you adjust the cpu multiplier it will not affect RAM at all. Its only when messing with the FSB that the 1333 your system sees raises up. They higher your memory is rated for the higher the higher your possible OC.
You are Overclocking your CPU right? The Gskill is a great product I have been using them on system builds for the last 3 years and I make sure to tell my customers they come with Lifetime warranties to let me know if they burn up and I have yet to have to replace one.

Are you sure one of your RAM slots isn't going bad? It could be a motherboard problem.

I would test the RAM in another motherboard using the program Memtest86+ for at least 7 hours.

I ran memtest for about 5 hours and had a handfull of errors in the 6000-8000mb range. I dont know if I am reading it right so I am assuming that will help me locate the exact stick? I had this same issue with my last mobo and I am now running a new mobo with no change.

I will be buying g skill 1866 this week. Thanks for all of your help.

To find out which stick is bad, you would have run memtest on the each individual stick, one at a time, to make it easier.

The 2011 iMac does not support 1600MHz RAM, Its support only for 1333MHz..But the mobile chips support 1066/1333/1600, and the desktop ones only support 1066/1333.In my point of view i think that the 1600MHz RAM does not support to iMac.
