Hi, I wanted to build or buy a gaming pc that would allow me to run decent games smoothly. i dont mind if i have to play on low settings. im talking about games like MW3, Skyrim, WoW. At the bare minimum, how much would i be looking to spend?

I could perhaps go a step down and play slightly older games, ie. GTA IV, Black Ops, (i.e not latest games)

(bare in mind im from england so ££££ not $$$$
 
I would say £400-500 without a monitor keyboard and mouse, or 600/700 ish including a keyboard mouse and monitor.

That said, you would probably be able to go even cheaper if you were willing to sacrifice eye candy. We would really need to know a rough budget so that we can find parts.

Assuming your willing to build your own of course.

Uf you want prebuilt, your probably looking in excess of 800 pound from somewhere like overclockers for a decent gaming set up that will last a while.
 
I dont reli want to spend more than 350

Keyboard Mouse and Monitor are sorted. and yh im willing to sacrifice eye candy
 
Reckon you could push to 400, w7 is going to cost close to a hundred so thats a big chunk. (its more like £70 i think but rounding is always good)
 
To be honest monitor size wont come into anything. If its 1080 the OP has already said he is willing to sacrifice eye candy. If its lower he may not need to so for this budget and the OP's comments i would say monitor is irrelevant.

Now this comes to 450 there or abouts with shopping included. This is the minimum i would go if your going to be gaming.

You may be able to scrimp on the hdd if you can get an old one off a friend or have one lying around. Same with the dvd drive.

Someone may be able to suggest better components but this imo for your budget is spot on.
 
What would i be able to play on this and on what settings?

Would i be able to play latest releases on defualt/medium settings?
