Can I get a quote on my computer?

This computer is probably about 3 years old, but has some newer upgrades in it. Tell me what you think it's worth.

MoBo: Asus M4A88T-EVO/USB3
Case: Antec 900
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250
RAM: 2 x 4GB DDR3 generic RAM, nothing special
HDD: WD WD500AAKB-00H8A0 IDE drive (500GB0
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6450 1GB
Optical Drive: HP DVD writer 1620d
PSU: Asus Earthwatts 500W
Cooler: Antec Kuhler H20 620
OS: Windows 7 Profesional 64 bit

That's all I can think of... And, If you don't mind, what games could it play? What kinds of games couldn't it play? Thanks!

Hey, I'm just glad you're being honest. It has a hula girl on the top of the case, would that raise the price to $500-$600? :D

But seriously, in parts, according to newegg, rounding down, this machine is worth $750. What makes it so much less?

It's used.

Do you know what kind of rig I could get with $750? One that is alot better than the one your selling, not being mean, just honest.

If you can get $400+ for it, than jump on it.

If I had wiped the hard drive clean, cleaned every part, and installed a fresh Windows 7 Pro, would that raise the price at all? And I'm not really planning on selling it any time soon, I was just wondering.

You could probably sell it for more if you posted pics and all, but performance wise is where the money drops. your problem for return is that you dumped a lot on the motherboard, case, liquid cooler, stiff like that, but the cpu and the gpu plain suck in comparison to those, it's like putting a body kit and new frame and stuff on a 20 year old crap car, might look nice and all, but you still have a slow engine and transmission, so the performance sucks, so it's not worth that much really. i'm not saying it's a terrible setup or anything, but that's the first example i thought of.

Biggest problem is Asus M4A88T-EVO is a deactivated AM3 Socket. The CPU you have is weak I would suggest upgrading to the 6 core Phenom, just a suggestion. I would estimate
the value at $250 to $350. There is nothing special about your MOBO. It has the SB710 if the south bridge was a SB 850 it would increase interest a tad. Your Hard drive is also deactivated and is IDE. SATA II is not as fast as advertised but a gain would be noticed. If you want this to be worth more than $500 instal Photoshop CS5 and Auto CAD and any other over priced software you can find. As long as its current it really is all you can do at this point. I sold a computer last year with Asus M3A motherboard AMD 6400 AM2 cpu for $500 but it was all about the software.

Being 14, it's hard to pay for good parts. My dad and I have a deal where if I get 3/4 the money for a part I want, he'll pay for the rest. So it's pretty tough to get any good parts. I know that the CPU and the GPU really hold this machine back. But those are my first priorities to upgrade. But that CPU is just amazing. Its overclocked to 3.7 GHz from 3GHz at 20C-23C idle. And the GPU can run most games except the really new ones, mainly BF3 and that new COD game. But besides that, it has some pretty good framerates on Need for Speed Hot Pusuit, Bioshock 2, and BFBC2. So, for my needs, it's okay. But I agree, those are my weak points.

I can see the OC of .7 GHz. I OCed a AthlonII x4 about the same. Thats really the only thing I like about AMD is you can buy the Cheap CPU and OC it as high as the expensive chip. I built a computer using ASUS mobo with the Phenom II X6 1055T its stock speed was 2.8, I was able to OC to 4.0. In my computer I have the 1090 on a Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 and using ZALMAN CNPS9700 couldn't OC any higher than 4.1. Save your money up because right this second AMD and Intel are ripping us off. AMD FM1 and AM3+ CPU's were both disappointing, and intels new tech is only refurbished old i7 LGA1366 tech. You can find upgrade CPU cheep on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-Phenom-...sor-/280811823686?pt=CPUs&hash=item4161b06246 right now is $61. It is the 95W version not the 125W.

complete garbage. 1366 was 45 nm (i think) and is 1st generation. Sandy bridge and SB-E are new manufacturing tech on the 32 nm process. The IPU is new, and it is a different socket. I would be willing to bet that Sb and SB-E are more energy efficient too.

If you don't research what you are going to say when your bashing a company, then don't bash.

AMD is good at overclocking. I will hand them that, and they are tolerable at GPU manufacturing. The FM1 was meant to be an answer to IPUs that couldn't handle much of anything. The FM1 is a ok setup if you just game once in a while, or just need a emulator or such.
AMD is also making memory. I wonder if it OCs as well as its processors? And I wonder if we will see a Intel competitor soon.
