A laptop for $800 USD for Gaming?

Hello Friends,

I have a friend whos laptop is near dying and needs a new one.

Her budget at the highest is 800 USD. She plans on playing Mass Effect 3 (When it comes out), Saints Row the third, STALKER, and Fallout New Vegas.

I tried looking for one but it seems 'cheap' gaming laptops are a rare breed. Assistance would be most excellent and greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

She wants to game. She told me she may want to do a Desktop instead, it all varies now at this point.

Better video card, but HP is known around here as bad quality.

Be known that these will not max mass effect 3. Laptops are not good for gaming, unless you're willing to spend a lot of money.

if I were you, I would strongly urge her to a desktop for gaming. Laptop's are meant to be less powerful and mobile. This is a very limiting factor in gaming. Not to mention that the components are not easy to upgrade, and there will be little to no forward compatibility.
