i just made a seperate partition on a windows 7 laptop for windows xp os. i put the cd in, installed it there. now it wont let me go back to windows 7. wtf? i did everything right but it still didnt work. idk if its worth noting but my packard bell c:\ changed to e:\ in windows xp, and c:\ was called system reserved. so now i can only access windows xp. and i cant find any drivers either. i tried changing my sata mode back to ahci mode and it still wouldent boot to win 7. it just crashed. but it should have a list of os's windows 7 and windows xp but it dont.

plz help me its not even my laptop its my lil step bros all i wanted to do is make a game work on his laptop so i thought cause win xp is faster it wld work but now windows 7 wont work :( thanks anyone that helps :)

Download easyBCD under XP. Install it. Once installed, open it, and go to BCD deployment. Click the Windows vista/7 box and be sure that your drive is selected and not your Windows XP partition. Then hit Deploy. This should fix your issue nicely.

Didn't have much luck with easyBCD when I used it. I had to get another BCD editor to fix the issues it caused.

I have never had an issue with it when installed in XP properly. It will not work in Windows 2000 when you install that after XP though.
