New User Needs Help!

I am building my first PC from scratch.
I was told to by a few people to go to tigerdirect.ca (I'm Canadian)

Anything under 1800$ I can handle at this present time.

This is what I have came up with, now im looking for suggestions and critiques as I am computer savvy, yet no expert.

Will I be bottle necked in any sort of way with this build?

processor
The 2600 is not really much help. Save money and get a 2500k, and overclock it some. That will net you the best performance you can get, assuming your gaming on it.

Motherboard
Intel isn't the best choice board. Go for something from Asus, ASrock, EVGA, or Gigabyte. They seem to be the best out there.

PSU
you don't need 850 watts, 650 watts would be enough. Also, get a better brand. Antec, Corsair, NZXT, OCZ, PC P&C, Seasonic, Silverstone, and XFX are brands to buy from. Anything else is of subpar quality.

sound card
You don't need a dedicated sound card unless you have an amazing set of speakers/headphones.

Hard Drive
That is a laptop drive. You need a 3.5" drive in the 7200 RPM category.

There is nothing wrong with still getting the i7 though correct?, I'm willing to pay the money as I do not want to deal with overclocking.
 
if you don't want to overclock, then I would suggest a strait 2500 processor. The i7 is ok, but the 2500 is the same chip minus hyper threading which only ups the performance something like 20%, but that will only be on programs designed to use 6+ threads. Otherwise you are wasting money.

also you will need a copy of windows 7, oem 64-bit

also as long as shipping isn't too aoutrageous which they tend to be as they are in america, newegg.ca seems to have better prices normally.

and if you can fit it into the budget, a HD7970 is like 20% faster than the 580 and comes standard with 3gbs of vram and costs the same as a 3gb 580.

Get the AMD Radeon 7950. It is the same as your NVIDIA, but can support tri-monitor setup, is less power hungry, and is cheaper.
