Having problems with the monitor driver on my eMachine g729zg. The res is way to low, and i cant set it higher. I have tried a physx driver, but the screen wont support the settings i want.
This happened after a fresh install of windows7.
Does anyone know what would solve this problem?

MoBo DIS N12PGV LF..

Tried the Intel VGA driver.. Did not work.. Got a message that the at computer did not meet the min requirements.

Go into device manager, right click on the entry in display adapters and and click on properties. Then click on the details tab and give me the 4 digit vendor and device id numbers. It will look like this. Make sure you select hardware ids for the property. For example, in the picture vendor id is 1002 and device id is 6738.

Once we know these numbers we can tell you what display adapter you have and what driver you need to download.

its a driver problem. maybe you should use driver magician to backup all of your driver before starting a formatting or fresh install OS.

I'll give it a shot. Really hope that this will work.

Is there like a search engine, where you type in these numbers ?

Give me a screenshot of the device manager. But do this first. Uninstall all driver software pertaining to the video card in add/remove programs and then post the results of the vendor and device id's again. Something just has to be screwed up.
