and yes i know im a tart because everything in my case lights up blue, but thats the way i like it lol

Maybe upgrade to a Phenom processor and Windows 7, unless you like Vista just fine.

Agreed with voyager. And get rid of that power supply. All you need is a 650w PSU for a single video card. Look into the brands corsair, antec, silverstone, seasonic, pc power and cooling, NZXT, or xfx.

I would get a full ATX board and an AM3+ socket.

Get faster RAM, 1600mhz.

- as far as i can tell the phenoms overclock better than the athlons but tbh i wouldnt know how to do it, unless someone could write a step by step guide for me on exactly how to do it.
- i actually quite like vista but im think im about the only one, i have 3 pcs in the house and 2 laptops and they all run vista so im very used to it lol
- i appreciate a better branded psu would be better but im not going to go out and spend money on something that i cant see making any difference to the pc what so ever (please correct me if im wrong)
- was looking into some faster ram but would it really make a difference?

cheers for the input guys

Phenoms are also faster overall. Just a thought to look into.

Vista is fine.

It will make a difference when the power supply fails and takes the whole computer with it. Better to buy now and not worry about your computer doing a light show out the back. How much is the icute power supply?

It'll make a little difference, and the price difference is not that much.

it was £80 about 6 months ago. at the time i was just desperate for a power supply n got one from the maplins round the corner from me

It'll work and everything, I just wouldn't recommend you to run on it forever, especially with a nice of a GPU as you have.

Yes, Athlons are lower end, whereas Phenoms are higher end and run a lot faster.

Vista is fine.

I also agree I'd get another brand of PSU. I personally like the one I have (CoolerMaster SilentPro) because it's modular and the cables are nice and thin.
