Hello guys , i have a strange problem with my disc driver..

When i bought my computer Windows vista was installed and i could burn files , when i changed to Windows XP my driver could not burn/write
files to disc and the same for windows 7.
Some times Ultra iso says something about Calibration Error and other times burning succesfuly ends but when i insert disc into my computer
it says Blank Disc OR No Disc

My Driver : TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SN-S082D (Name Copied From Windows XP device Manager)

Is there anything i can do , like installing some software or something else.

Thanks for helping

Windows Vista OS supports DVD/CD burning, Windows XP OS supports CD only not DVD but you will need a 3rd party software such as Nero, Roxio to burn DVD's

I'm sorry but you're wrong. Windows XP can still burning DVD/CD by drag into driver for "ready to burn"

Windows XP OS is only capable of burning CD's only....
If you have XP read your own help files as it will tell you this..... to burn DVD's you need extra software installed such as Image Mastering API v2.0 for XP from Microsoft or what I mentioned in my other post or other burning software.

Actually here is a link to Microsoft for the DVD software required for XP... http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=17073

*sigh* How many time do i have to tell you? I can burn DVD without software for XP. And the link you sent me, that is for burning ISO software.

XP doesn't have native DVD burning capability, you need a third party program installed in order to burn to dvd's. Not sure how you are burning dvd's without third party software.

Yeah. I noticed someone never burning DVD without third party software. Burning CD/DVD without third party software is limited. Such as you can't burning ISO and DVD-video. Maybe I was wrong or not, but i could try it out with my 11 years old laptop windows XP later.

Download and update the Drive's firmware. SS03 I think is the latest.

After updating the drive's firmeware, completely uninstall the device driver via Device Manager.

Restart

Use Windows Update.
