Will this work?

I would not buy that graphics card, but the bigger question is what is your power supply? Brand, model, wattage?

what kind of power supply should i get?

the video card i posted has 2gbs rather then the 1gb of the card you showed me. i mean i believe you im just trying to understand.

Its for gaming i mean im sure video cards are normally for that i just want to make sure i dont waste money and i was recommended the first one i posted

The video memory of a video card is not one of the main driving factors of its performance. It is similar to regular system memory (obviously literally as well), in that if you don't have enough it can hold your video card back, resulting in reduced framerates, but it doesn't directly affect performance itself, at least for the most part.

Years ago this used to be a common misconception (rating a video card solely on the amount of video memory it has) among people less knowledgeable about computers, and back then for the most part, the amount of memory tended to scale pretty well with each card's actual performance. Nowadays, other than perhaps the extreme high end, that scaling is not really existent. More like many cards have different versions (1GB version, 2GB version, etc).

So yeah. The 6850 owns the 550Ti.

A Corsair CX430 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026&Tpk=cx430 it's only 430W I know but it will power your system fine and should be all right for a GTX 550 Ti or a 6850 whichever you decide to get (I'm with Jonny on the 6850 recommendation though).

If you need more wattage, this 500W should do fine http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027

Good brands of PSU are Corsair, OCZ, Silverstone, Antec and XFX. Wouldn't buy from anybody else.

Now that's some good new lol.
Seriously thanks so much.

Do you guys think that my system will be able to handle Diablo3?

GTX 550 is better choose for anyone who need video card to play gaming video game and is affordable. Syprim work great on very high and that is 30 FPS.

GTX 550 Ti cost about 110 dollar and GTX 260 cost about 150 dollar.

for GTX 560 Ti or AMD 6970, need over 500 watt. Recommend 650 watt Thermaltake or Corsair in case if you want SLI or CrossFire.

I'm not really sure what resolution. Is like it to look pretty good. I've been wait way to long for this game
See about resolution here http://www.microscope-microscope.org/imaging/image-resolution.htm basically the higher the resolution, the more powerful a graphics card you're going to need. A 6850 or a 550 won't be playing Diablo III at 1920x1080, that's too high a resolution for those cards. They should be all right for 1280x720 though. The higher the resolution, the better the game will look, but the slower the game will run. It's pretty hard to explain resolution.

I agree with you but the OP isn't looking to buy a GTX 560 Ti or a Radeon 6970. A 500W PSU would be adequate for either a GTX 550 or a Radeon 6850.

Ohh ok i understand well what card would let me get higher res. And no lag?

A 6850 should be OK but I'd say a 6870 would be good. The 6870 is less than $200 usually (around $170-190 usually). A GTX 560 Ti or a Radeon 6950 would play the game pretty much perfectly but they cost like $240 and above, and you'd need a higher wattage PSU. Jamesbonds1 said that a 560 Ti would need over 500W, and he's right. A 600W would be good for a 560 Ti. However, a 500W would be fine for a Radeon 6870.

You do know your resolution is dependant on your monitor. If you're using a really old 17" 1280x1024 monitor, then 1280x1024 is the highest resolution you can go because the monitor cannot go any higher. What screen do you have (make/model) and what resolution does it run at?

It's a 23" led/lcd asus. I if I remember right I'm at work on my phone right now. I bought it less then a year ago.

As for the card I'm either going to go with the radeon 6870 or the radeon 6950 either way im going to have to upgrade my power supply right?
These will work with everything else that I have right?

OK so the maximum resolution is probably going to be 1920x1080 or thereabouts.

Yes you need to upgrade your PSU either way. I'd say a good quality 500W PSU for a Radeon 6870 and a good quality 600W PSU for a 6950. The 6950 will play the game better than a 6870, but the GeForce GTX 560 Ti is cheaper than a 6950 and really only a tiny bit slower, so that's going to be my recommendation.
